Our Fleet Street wine bar was a regular watering hole for Bond author Ian Fleming when he worked nearby as a stockbroker, first for Cull & Co. and then Rowe and Pitman. It is also close to his writing office between 1957-1964, in Mitre Court.

The Dry Martini, shaken not stirred, is generally thought to be 007’s drink of choice, however, we like to think that we provided some of the inspiration for his impeccable taste in wine too, including Dom Pérignon, Krug, and Bollinger Champagne and Château Mouton Rothschild from the legendary 1947 vintage.
